Welcome to the IS 239 Mark Twain School for the Gifted and Talented Parents Association
The Mark Twain Parents Association supports students and families at Mark Twain IS 239 through fundraising, educational enrichment, school activities, and community events. We help connect families with the school and create opportunities for parents and caregivers to get involved.
We’re excited to be part of the Mark Twain community and help make the middle school years a great experience for our students. Here you’ll find information about the year ahead, ways to get involved, upcoming events, and how the PA helps fund programs and resources for our school.
What We Support
The Mark Twain Parents Association raises funds to help provide resources and opportunities that enrich the educational experience at Mark Twain IS 239. PA support can include educational enrichment and learning resources, school technology and educational tools, arts and cultural activities, student activities and school events, and opportunities that bring families and the broader school community together.
Recent PA support has included the school’s hydroponics lab and Jupiter Ed, an online learning and communication platform. Through fundraising, donations, and volunteer support, we help provide resources and experiences that benefit Mark Twain students and families.
